FERRY RIDE TO THE ISLAND & TRANSPORTATION ON THE ISLAND

• The ferries from the mainland at Mackinaw City to Mackinac Island take exactly 16 minutes.
• Once on the island there are no cars allowed. Bicycles, horses, carriages, and your own two feet are the modes of transportation on the island.
  
  

LODGING

We do not offer event specific lodging or discounts. Staying on island and paying a bit extra to add-on race morning pickups on the dock is most convenient but staying on the mainland, going to the day before packet pickup, and riding the ferry over in the morning is simple and low key as well. It is really just whatever you prefer.
